Scott Asper, CPA — Executive Director/Finance Director
Scott joined the foundation as Finance Director in 2002. He obtained his CPA designation in 1993 and has held several management positions in the areas of public accounting and corporate finance. Before joining the Foundation, Scott worked with a national public accounting firm as an audit manager specializing in not-for-profit and small business clients as well as a bank officer for 1st Bank and a senior financial analyst with CenturyLink. As Finance Director, Scott is responsible for all financial programs and services offered by the Foundation as well as the internal accounting and finance functions. Scott also attends meetings and provides support for the Foundation’s investment, finance and property committees. Scott is married with two children and enjoys fishing, golf, tennis and basketball.
Pennie Goodman — Accounting Assistant
Pennie came to the Foundation in January 2014. She has a BA in Psychology, with a minor in Accounting, from the University of Colorado. Pennie is a veteran in administration, office management and bookkeeping, gaining experience at such companies as Equity Savings & Loan and Town & Country Real Estate Company. She spent many years being administrator of non-profit organizations. In 1991, she and her husband adopted four children which resulted in her spending the next 17 years as stay-at-home wife and mother. Most recently, Pennie served as Accounting Assistant/Office Manager at the Stapleton Development Corporation where she was responsible for a wide range of duties including being assistant to the CFO and secretary to the Citizen’s Advisory Board. Pennie is a long-time member of The Church of the Holy Redeemer in Denver, where she has served in many leadership roles over the years, including Senior Warden, Junior Warden and Sunday school teacher. Pennie is married and is the mother of seven children, four of whom are adopted, and the grandmother of 14.
